Cleaning

For 70 years Ararat Rug has maintained its excellent reputation in cleaning and repairing Oriental rugs.  We specialize in the hand cleaning of Oriental rugs, tapestries, needlepoint, and fine silk carpets. 

Rug cleaning in our plant:

Oriental rugs, Kelims, Dhurries and Reversibles
Wet or smoke damaged rugs
Special hand cleaning of skins, tapestries, silk rugs, fine antiques and classical carpets

Special Services:

Moth treatment, disinfecting, Scotchgard, deodorizing

We also provide a service for cleaning wall-to-wall carpets in the home.

Repairs

During the lifetime of a rug, repair may become necessary due to normal wear and tear, fire damage or other accidents.  We provide repair, restoration and conservation for all types of Oriental carpets.

These services include reweaving damaged areas, reweaving fringes and side areas, binding, machine serging sides, hand overcastting selvedges, vinyl stripes for sides. We also secure fragile areas to minimize further deterioration.
